UUUU$ Granby Rovers Meeting October 2, 2008 8:00 pm, Goombas Minutes from September, 2008 were accepted. Treasurer report via e mail stated an increase in income of approximately $7000 from team assessments. There are a few more teams still owing their assessment. Expenditures included payment of balance on the new shed and maintenance costs. Boys and Girls Directors had nothing new to report. Registrar reported that everyone is registered. The new computer system is still not in place so the data cannot be uploaded. The hold up is with Blue Sombrero. Matt Wutka is still looking for a letter from the town of Hartland indicating Granby is their school of choice for high school age children. This would then be submitted to CJSA to apply for permission to include Hartland in our district. Pat ODonnell has been keeping stats on the number of UConn men soccer tickets being used. Rovers had purchased ? tickets for $1000. To date, usage appears to be at 50%. We will want to use these stats next year to determine if and how many tickets should be purchased. Gary Kulik recommended having these tickets available at public functions such as at the park or during Action Photo pick up day. Ann Marie suggested that we look into purchasing womens soccer tickets as well. Sean reported that there have been ongoing problems with getting the fields striped properly and on time. He will talk to the town about taking this over if Rovers paid them. The goal box areas need to be reseeded. Sod estimates are high, possible $5000. Fields 1 & 2 have skunks and grubs chewing up the field. Can town do anything to help? Ann Marie reported that the new web system is almost ready. All the new addresses are complete, just waiting to get off old system which turns out is through a different company than the Board of Ed. John Corallo needs to notify Ann Marie of contact at old system. Rovers is contributing $500 to Homecoming weekend so that the u-14 teams can use the lights on Friday night, October 17. Gary Kulik raised the issue of late notification of center refs assignments for Cup games. The district assignor (Mario) is responsible for this. It is important to know who the ref will be in advance so games can be confirmed since teams may be traveling from great distances. The next meeting will be November 6, 8:00 pm, Goombas. 9 o;hj7hlKYhj7hlKY5 &89efW X 1 2 !
