Programs offered by the Orland Park Soccer Club:

In gerneral, the OPSC offers two programs: Competitive (Chicago Fire Juniors South) and Recreational.

The Chicago Fire Juniors South runs throughout the soccer year and our Recreational programs are offered in the Fall (Late August through Early November) and Winter (Early January through Late March). A soccer year is defined as the period July 1st through June 30th of the following year. The Yearly Family Fee applies to a complete soccer year (one Fall and one Winter season). The Recreational program is based upon a per season contract; Fall(Outdoor)/Winter(Indoor).

Additional details about both programs can be found on our Home Page by choosing the appropriate tab at the top of the page.

Browser Recommendation:

We HIGHLY recommend that you use MS Internet Explorer, version 9 (or later), Google Chrome, Mozilla Firefox or Opera (Apple) for accessing our web site. These browsers represent the the most prevalent web browsers in the industry.

Here are a few more recommendations for configuring your browser as well:

  1. Make sure your browser doesn't cache pages from your website. Internet Explorer and other browsers can be configured so that they don't re-read pages that they've downloaded recently in order to save time. This is NOT advantageous with our pages. When you make a change to your data by submitting a form, you want the new data displayed the very next time you visit a particular page. In order to ensure you see every change you make, configure Internet Explorer as follows:
  1. Click Tools / Internet Options.
  2. On the resulting dialog box, press the Settings button under Temporary Internet files.
  3. Select Automatically under Check for newer versions of stored pages.

This will ensure that your browser reads the contents of every page of your site, every time you visit.

  1. Be sure Internet Explorer gives you the whole truth about error messages! When a web page experiences an error, your browser by default only tells you that the ''page cannot be displayed'' or there was an ''Internal server error''. This doesn't give us much to go on and is pretty useless in debugging a problem or finding the root cause. Internet Explorer can be configured to give more descriptive error messages that can greatly assist our staff in finding and correcting problems when you report errors. In Internet Explorer, perform the following:
  1. Click Tools / Internet Options
  2. Click the Advanced tab at the top right of the resulting dialog box.
  3. Scroll down until you find Show friendly HTTP error messages.
  4. Make sure this feature is UNCHECKED.

Note that configuring your browser in this way will not adversely affect your viewing in any way. It'll just give more descriptive error messages whenever a web page causes an error. Evidently Microsoft doesn't want to ''confuse'' you with too much information but we almost always need it.

  1. If you use a popup blocker, be sure to turn it off for this website.  Several of the forms used on our site are displayed in popup windows where they are used to gather supplemental information for other forms. Unless you're popup blocker informs you that these windows are attempting to be displayed, you may never know they need attention.

OPSC Website Security:

The OPSC site is currently hosted on industry standard servers housed on a secure facility in Louisville, KY with finger print access, backup power supplies plus a diesel generator and access to a Tier 1 backbone for maximum throughput. Our webhost's facility and their servers are managed and monitored 24/7 by ASPWebhosting.com, Inc, which implement the strongest security features offered. Access is limited to LeagueAthletics.com developers and ASP Webhosting employees on a need-to-know basis for maintenance purposes only. Our Club data is backed up daily and archival copies are kept on separate servers for a period of 7 days.

Each club that uses the LeagueAthletics servers has access to their own data and the Board Of Directors control individual’s access using the many security options provided by our site's software. All forms that gather any kind of personal or monetary information are secured through SSL certificate and 128 bit encryption. You can examine our certificate by navigating to any secure page and clicking the lock icon that will appear in your browser. The League Athletics privacy policy dictates that they will never share Club data with anyone outside of the OPSC Board of Directors, and employees of LeagueAthletics.com and ASPWebhosting on a need to know basis only.

In addition, credit card information is used only for the life of transactions and shared only with our gateway provider through a secure connection. The Site never retains or stores credit card information under any circumstances, so even in the extremely unlikely event that the site were “hacked”, no credit card information would ever be compromised. LeagueAthletics' credit card processing is fully PCI compliant and certified by TrustWave.

How do I receive game and practice notices?

If you are not receiving email notifications of practice or game details for any season, one of four things has occurred:

  1. You have chosen "PRIVATE" as the option for your email address. It should always be set to "ROSTER".
  2. Your email address is incorrect in your online profile. Click on "Edit My Account" to update your information.
  3. Your email is missing from your online profile. Click on "Edit My Account" to update your information or send an email to administrative@orlandparksc.org to have your email address added.
  4. You have not checked the boxes for Game and Practice Reminders in your online profile.

The information you provide to our site is yours and needs to be maintained by a member of your family. If you change any of that information - including your email address - it is your responsibility to keep that information current

To update your contact information, please do the following:

  1. Log into the Club's web site: http://www.orlandparksc.org.
  2. Select "Edit My Account" at the bottom of the left margin.
  3. The login screen is provided. If you cannot remember your password, enter just your email address and a temporary password will be sent to you.
  4. Login with your email address and temporary password.
  5. If your email address field is blank, enter your email address in the field provided.
  6. Change your password to something you can remember.
  7. Enter data into any other mandatory field (denoted by an "*").
  8. Ensure that the drop-down menu directly behind the "Email Address" field is set to "Public" or "Roster". Those marked as "Private" will not be included in roster, practice or game updates.
  9. Ensure that the two check boxes marked "Games" and "Practices" are checked. Those left blank will not be included in roster, practice or game updates.
  10. Select the "Submit" button at the bottom of the screen.

How can I access the Online Registration?

The online registration function of the OPSC site can be access by selecting the Register Online in the left margin of our Home Page. If you have missed the open registration period, please send an email to recreational@orlandparksc.org to inquire about roster slot availability.

Can I register in person?

The OPSC stopped supporting Recreational in-person paper registrations with the start of the Indoor 2009 season. The online registration process considerably reduces the overhead required to support our programs and provides numerous rostering and scheduling efficienies.

What is the purpose of the Yearly Family Fee?

What questions are asked automatically during registration?

Every OPSC registration program gathers basic information about the participant - and guardian - if the registration includes minors. That information includes: name, address, telephone numbers (home, work, cell), and email address. Date of birth and gender are also asked but are not required fields for the guardian. Since a major portion of our membership are minors, the regsitration programs will include current year school grade, but not age restrictions.

IMPORTANT: When registering in one or more of our programs, be sure to use the same email address for all registrations. Usage of unique email addresses within the same soccer year will require you to pay the family fee twice - and that fee will not be refunded.

Parents or legal guardians may enter registrations for immediate family members only. Immediate Family Members are defined as brothers and sisters. Cousins/Uncles/Aunts are not considered immediate family. Aunt or Uncles will not be allowed to register nieces or nephews to circumvent Non-Resident Fees. Those partents or legal guardians who are caught abusing this process will forfeit the assignment of the affected players to a roster until their registrations are entered accurately with all applicable fees. Thank you for your cooperation in this matter.

What is OPSC's Refund Policy?

Refunds are generally not honored.

However, we have found it necessary to add two caveats to our refund policy, which require documented proof:

  1. Official physicians script stating the player is unable to participate in a soccer environment, due to medical conditions.
  2. Official verification of a residence move that makes it impossible for a player to participate on a weekly basis.

Upon receipt of the necessary qualifying paperwork to: OPSC, PO Box 162, Orland Park, IL 60462, a refund check for the program fee will be sent to the address provided to the OPSC at the time of registration. Inaccuracies in user-provided information will add to the receipt of the refund.

If you do not meet the criteria above and choose to remove your child after payment has been submitted for registration, your paid fees will be considered a charitable donation to our not for profit organization.

What is OPSC's Policy on Special Requests?

Special Requests are not honored and will not be addressed any Club official.

Some examples of special requests are:

  • Carpooling
  • Placing friends on the same team
  • Moving a player to a different team due to personal conflicts.
