Players evaluated on technical skills, tactical awareness (field sense), athleticism and attitude (focus, listening, following direction). Evaluators first evaluate all players on the above categories, then rank them in order based on these evaluations. Evaluations are reviewed after each session. Anomalies amongst evaluators are identified and those players highlighted for closer review at the next evaluation session. Player groupings are formed between sessions and then reviewed on field at next sessions to assess ability range Teams are formed based on the number of players trying out, the ability level range of the players and the District guidelines on balanced versus ranked teams. In some cases there will be Saturday travel teams formed, playing in the rec + league in addition to Sunday travel teams playing in the Classic Travel league. The NCSA attempts to place players on teams subject to their ability level being high enough to be competitively successful in the travel leagues and the roster size restrictions imposed by the Connecticut Junior Soccer Association (CJSA). We dont guarantee that all players trying out will make a team. U11 2 tryout days, 1.5 hours per session Conducted by professional coaches, overseen by the NCSA Coaching Director(s) Evaluators rotate groups to observe players at each session. Players evaluated on technical skills, tactical awareness (field sense), athleticism and attitude (focus, listening, following direction). Evaluators first evaluate all players on the above categories, then rank them in order based on these evaluations. Evaluations are reviewed after first session. Anomalies amongst evaluators are identified and those players highlighted for closer review at the next evaluation session. Between sessions, seasonal evaluations are reviewed against tryout evaluators to uncover any anomalies between rankings. Those players are highlighted for further review. Player groupings are formed between sessions and then reviewed on field at next session to assess ability range. Coaching Director(s) resolves any final player assessment issues. Teams are formed based on the number of players trying out, and the ability level range of the players. Player movement up and down occurs yearly. U10, U12-U14 Placement Process Coaches evaluate and rank their team members. Bubble players are identified, i.e., players at the top and bottom of the rankings who are potential candidates to move up or down. Coaches, with the assistance of coaching director(s), compare those bubble players to determine appropriate action. Coaches in age group work together to resolve player movement. Coaching Director(s) resolves any outstanding issues. Player movement occurs both up and down yearly. New players to the NCSA are evaluated at 2 practice sessions if they enter in the U10 or u12-u14 age groups. Their ability level is assessed relative to the pool of players in the age group and relative to the required skill to play at the travel level. They are placed on teams subject to their skill level relative to the pool of players vying for spots. Special Circumstances Players Returning to the NCSA after an absence for U10 or U12-U14 (i.e., season off, return from premier etc.) Players will be evaluated at 2 practice sessions like all non current NCSA players. The NCSA will place players based on their relative rank and ability within the age group. Players should not assume placement on their former team as their relative rank may have changed during their absence. Equally, current players that moved up due to vacancies created by players leaving the NCSA may no longer remain on the higher team if when evaluated with the entire pool of players registering to play for a subsequent season, their relative rank drops. No players are guaranteed placement, whether current, new or returning. Player Movement Between Fall and Spring due to vacated roster spots or team consolidation. Teams are meant to stay intact for both the fall and the spring seasons. However, occasionally players have the opportunity to move up in the spring due to either players opting out for the spring, or teams being consolidated. Players should not assume that when all players are evaluated for the following year, the player that moved up due to a vacancy will remain on the higher team OR that the player who left will regain his/her spot on the upper team. Players will be evaluated and placed based on their relative ranking amongst players seeking to be placed for the next season. From the NCSA perspective, your relative team movement (i.e., up or down) is based on the team on which you played in the fall. Players Entering the NCSA Outside the normal tryout/evaluation window in the spring. (i.e., registering later in the summer, or between the fall and spring seasons) Roster spots are on a space available basis and not all players wishing to be placed may be able to do so. Players entering the NCSA outside the normal process should expect to take up to a year to be placed accurately based on their skill. Open roster spots are typically on the lower level teams, and players do not switch teams as a rule between seasons. Even when there is consolidation or vacated roster spots, players that were not evaluated with the entire age group are unlikely to be advanced over a player that was. *+ADhi} ~ K L g : | } 01 ;<kn%&h CJOJQJ^Jh~4CJOJQJ^Jh]U;CJOJQJ^JhS5CJOJQJ\^JhS5>*CJOJQJ\^JhSCJOJQJ^JhSD*+@ADi~ L } 1<h^h & F & F$a$(>xC v^vgdb & Fgdb & Fgd.} v^vgd.} & F 8^`&'(=m,4vACJŸxkYGY"hbhb5CJOJQJ\^J"hbh.}5CJOJQJ\^Jh.}CJOJQJ\^JhbCJOJQJ^JhCJOJQJ^Jh.}h.}>*CJOJQJ^Jh~4CJOJQJ^Jh4rCJOJQJ^Jh5CJOJQJ^Jh.}5CJOJQJ^Jh.}h.}5CJOJQJ^J"h.}hS5CJOJQJ\^Jh.}CJOJQJ^JhWT'jhWT'Uh.}hbCJOJQJ\^JhbCJOJQJ\^J v^vgdb,1h/ =!"#$% ^ 2 0@P`p2( 0@P`p 0@P`p 0@P`p 0@P`p 0@P`p 0@P`p8XV~_HmH nH sH tH @`@ NormalCJ_HaJmH sH tH J@J Heading 1$@&5CJOJQJ\^JR@R Heading 2$h@&^h5CJOJQJ\^JDA D Default Paragraph FontViV Table Normal :V 44 la (k (No List <>@< Title$a$CJOJQJ^JZYZ Bu Document Map-D M CJOJQJ^JaJ44 F}Header !4 "4 F}Footer !PK![Content_Types].xmlj0Eжr(΢Iw},-j4 wP-t#bΙ{UTU^hd}㨫)*1P' ^W0)T9<l#$yi};~@(Hu* Dנz/0ǰ $ X3aZ,D0j~3߶b~i>3\`?/[G\!-Rk.sԻ..a濭?PK!֧6 _rels/.relsj0 }Q%v/C/}(h"O = C?hv=Ʌ%[xp{۵_Pѣ<1H0ORBdJE4b$q_6LR7`0̞O,En7Lib/SeеPK!kytheme/theme/themeManager.xml M @}w7c(EbˮCAǠҟ7՛K Y, e.|,H,lxɴIsQ}#Ր ֵ+!,^$j=GW)E+& 8PK!Ptheme/theme/theme1.xmlYOo6w toc'vuر-MniP@I}úama[إ4:lЯGRX^6؊>$ !)O^rC$y@/yH*񄴽)޵߻UDb`}"qۋJחX^)I`nEp)liV[]1M<OP6r=zgbIguSebORD۫qu gZo~ٺlAplxpT0+[}`jzAV2Fi@qv֬5\|ʜ̭NleXdsjcs7f W+Ն7`g ȘJj|h(KD- dXiJ؇(x$( :;˹!
