President, Tom Moore brought the meeting to order at 6:35p.m. Members in Attendance: Tom Moore, Al Hagg, Lee Pandiani, Denise Chancey, Al Harding, Steve Papotto, Ray Wong, Ricardo Lopez Minutes: Minutes were presented. Lee Pandiani made a motion to accept the minutes, Al Haag second, minutes accepted. Treasurers Report: Tom Moore reported that Karen informed him that we have approximately $13,000.00 in the checking account before the fall registration money, and $8,100.00 savings, 8,000 and 3,800 in C.D. savings. Still have to pay referees and a few other bills. Some sponsor checks are still coming in. Vice-Presidents Report: Bart Soriano reported observed both FSA and MLS. He recommended that we do mini clinics for the mites instead of every week professional coaching. Bart would like to require all coaches be trained before they work with children. Each coach should at least go to the Southern training Clinic in March. He would like all directors to attend monthly meetings to better coordinate what occurs in their division. They are the eyes and ears of the club. Rob Jachyms understudies didnt impress Bart or the coaches. Tom talked to Rob Jackym and he will not bill us for those coach sessions. Boys Director Report: Lee Pandiani talked about scores being correctly reported to South Central was a problem all over the league. Lee was helping coaches to record scores before the deadline. Our fall numbers as of today: U-10: 4, U-11: 0, U-12: 5, U-14: 9. Tom stated that the players who have registered would be our priority. We will try to get a U-10, U-12, and U-14 Boys. Ricardo stated that he could have a team. The board said they would have a U-11 team, once the U-12 team was filled. Ricardo said he would get in contact with his players by the end of the week. Al Harding discussed his concerns about the U-19 team. He was disappointed in the number of players who came to games. He felt the players who attended were strong. Girls Director Report: No report Registrars Report: Al Hagg concerned about the numbers for the fall. Ricardo, Lee, and Tom will help Al increase the numbers by July 10th. Al frustrated with state registration. He has sent the information several times. South Central still doesnt have it. Ray suggested that Al call Joe Duffy and hand deliver the information. District Representatives Report: Ray reported that new club affiliation forms are due. He also reported that our final registration was due. In-Town Directors Report: Denise Chancey praised her directors. Denise felt that professional training was good for the u-8 and the U-10. She was concerned that between practices, professional coaches and games that some parents might think it is overwhelming. Denise reported that the end of the year parties went well. Tom praised her for her efforts. He attended both U-8 and U-10 parties and thought the parents and players enjoyed themselves. Denise stated that we need a mites, and U-8 director for next years. Presidents Report: Tom praised the board for all of their hard work. He was especially pleased on their professionalism when dealing with difficult situations. Tom met with the Al Haag, Lee Pandiani , a representative of Midstate,  HYPERLINK "mailto:CL@P" CL@P, Vinny Piscitelli (electrician) and the Chris from Meriden Park and Recreation. We will need to up- grade the service. It will cost some were in the range of $4,000. just to reach the building. Park and recreation will pay for the electricity once it is hooked-up. Dicks will supply us with equipment for the spring league. Tom submitted the request several months ago and the supplies should be in by August. We now have a Meriden Health department certificate.
