The Division I Stroll…

The D2 Stroll…

·         Much like Division I, several teams on Spring Break this week so not a ton of action, but again, one big surprise:

Lacrosse The Country…

·         Great article this week on Inside.Lacrosse.com featuring one of Washington’s own, Drew Snider, in discussing his path to contributing at the big time college level.  Check out the article!

·         Some more WHSBLA connections landing on NCAA fields across the country.  We missed a couple of them late last week as last Saturday RIT traveled to Geneseo and Gettysburg hosted Swarthmore.  Taylor Wisman (Northshore) contributed 2g,1a for the Tigers in their win while Jon Wettack (Mercer Island) scored a goal for the Blue Knights of Geneseo State.  Caldwell Rohrbach (Garfield) helped Gettysburg overcome Swarthmore 8-7 in double overtime.  The Swarthmore roster includes another Washington product in Grayson Roze.  Both Rohrbach and Roze proudly supported TL-17 stickers in memory of the late Tyler Lucas.

·         On Wednesday of this week, RIT traveled to Nazareth.  Issaquah’s Matt O’Neill stood in attendance as part of his recruiting trip to Nazareth and he witnessed Taylor Wisman’s first collegiate hat-trick in leading the Tigers to their second straight, 1-goal win; this one in overtime!

·         With less going on here in our own state due to Spring Break, it is always a good time to check in on our Washington boys that are playing lacrosse all over the country.  Here is what we have compiled in terms of those playing NCAA ball or MCLA Division I Club ball outside of the PNCLL (we will follow with that list next week):

Lacrosse Four Thought…

Who did we miss on our NCAA/MCLA list above?

What happened to the lacrosse program at USC?

Where have this year’s seniors committed to playing college ball next season?

Does Varsity HS lacrosse need a shot clock?

Parting Shots…

·         I am sure there were a few teams that had similar experiences (the last few weeks).  These pictures (see below)were taken during the Providence vs Everett game on March 29.  It rained all day and there was 2 inches of water down the center of the field!” – Nathan Morris
