Board Meeting Minutes

OPENING REMARKS

Chris Campbell gave a presentation to the Board on his Eagle Scout project.  Chris built four frames to hold recycling barrels and provided 5 barrels for recycling plastic bottles at the field.  Chris has also created a schedule for the next two seasons for members of the community to empty the barrels each week.  Chris gave the Board the extra bags and labels for our use in the future.  In addition Chris donated the extra money leftover from the project back to PYS which will be put in our scholarship fund.  The Board commends Chris for his hard work and a job well done. 

 

SECRETARY’S REPORT

Minutes from September 8, 2010 meeting were reviewed.   REPORT ACCEPTED

 

OLD BUSINESS

 

            Spring Teams

            Drafts for U12 and U14 will be held this week.

 

            Spring Uniform Colors

            Fran will need to inquire about other teams in Coastal having red jerseys.  Will look into PYS making a change in the future.

 

             

TREASURER’S REPORT – No report

 

REGISTRAR’S REPORT  -

Mike Tropeano reported some U6 coaches have still not responded for requests for birthdates for Mass Youth Soccer registration.  There are only 89 girls registered for U10 girls.  MOTION:  Seven U10 girls teams for spring 2011.  MOTION PASSED. 

MOTION:  Weighted 2nd teams for U12 and U14 boys and girls.  MOTION PASSED.

 

 

 

COACHING EDUCATION REPORT

Ralph Perrotto reported clinics are going well.  Samba Sundays will be happening again this winter. 

 

COASTAL REPORT  - No report

 

REFEREE COORDINATOR REPORT – No report

 

NEW BUSINESS

 

            Coaching Issues

            Issues with coaches not giving equal playing time.  Email will be sent to coaches and they will be reminded at the draft about playing time.  Fall games should not be rescheduled.

 

            Parking Issues

            People are still parking in fire lanes and in parking spots with orange barrels.

 

            Parking Fundraiser

            MOTION:  Hold preferred parking day for scholarship fund.  MOTION PASSED.  Date will be 11/6 with a rain date of 11/13.

 

            NE Revolution Tickets

            Sixty-three people attend PYS night at the NE Revolution.  Cost to renew tickets for next season (4 tickets, same seats as past years) is $1455.  MOTION:  Purchase Revs tickets for next season.  MOTION PASSED.

 

            Snack Bar

            The snack bar needs a new fryalator.  MOTION:  Spend up to $300 for a fryalator.  MOTION PASSED.
