Board Meeting of April 9, 2008

Minutes from March 12, 2008 meeting were reviewed. REPORT ACCEPTED.
Moving ahead on brick fundraiser. Looking to secure donation for initial brick purchase. Will need about 2 pallets to start at cost of $200-225 per pallet.
Lisa Stoyle presented and reviewed handout with income/expenses for 7/1/07-4/9/2008. Uniforms have been paid for. REPORT ACCEPTED.
Registration will be on May 18, May 20 and July 15 (late registration date) from 7-9pm. All board members and coaches (including assistants) should be registered as volunteers with Mass Youth Soccer and CORI checked. Motion: $40 family max for capital improvement surcharge at registration. MOTION PASSED
COACHING EDUCATION REPORT
Ralph Perrotto reported. PTUSA clinics starting this week. Number of registered players: U10B 21, U10G 21, U8B 19, U8G 8. Due to lower than expected numbers, cost to PYS will be higher. Decided to open U8G time slot to U7 players to increase participation.
Fran Squatrito reported. Coaches need to call or email Fran the game scores. If game is rained out, that information needs to be reported as well.
REFEREE COORDINATOR REPORT
Bill Tholen reported. Some issues have arisen with rescheduling games. Games should not be rescheduled for coach convenience. Bill will send out email setting out process for rescheduling games. Rescheduled games need to be coordinated with Mike Cavalear for field usage.
MYSA BOARD DEVELOPMENT WORKSHOP
The Board met with Mike Singleton of Mass Youth Soccer to discuss process for developing a new mission statement and set of goals for PYS. Mike will be back at next board meeting to work with the Board further.
