PEMBROKE YOUTH SOCCER

ATTENDEES: Dave Carter, John Trudeau, Lisa Stoyle, Bill Tholen, Mary Sullivan,Kevin Winters, Bill Cullity, Mike Cavalear, Paul Allen, Janet Nihill, Cathi Quigg, Joan Vasconcellos, Noel Cross, Paula Vercollone, Jerry Labonte

SPECIAL GUEST: Foster Cass Ė Boys Head Soccer Coach for Pembroke High School. Foster needs to identify eighth to eleventh grade players; he is hoping some of Pembroke youth soccer coaches can help him out. Currently the Freshman JV teams at Silver Lake do not have many Pembroke players. Foster will attend games in town to see some of the kids in town play. At PHS there will be funding for 65 players; everyone who tries out will probably get to play. Foster also runs a camp in NH. He is not able to stay, but his staff will. Looking for players from freshmen to seniors. Starting August 22, Sunday through Wednesday. The cost would be $45 per night.

SECRETARYíS REPORT: Notes from previous meeting were accepted and put on file.

OLD BUSINESS: Spring Fund-raiser raised between $8,600--$8,700 after expenses. World Cup Soccer Camp brochures send out. Sponsorship Update using a Yahoo group you can list potential sponsors.

TREASURERíS REPORT: Currently have $23,259.47 in the bank with the calendar raffle checks written. We have received field rentals and snack bar money. Annual reports filed. Treasurerís report accepted and put on file.

REGISTRARíS REPORT: Postcards were sent out announcing registration. Registrarís report accepted and put on file.

COACHING EDUCATION: Scheduled a "G" Course (introductory course) for Labor Day Weekend. It is a four-hour course and we have the option to cancel two weeks ahead if there is not enough interest.

COASTAL REPORT: U-10 Jamboree in Duxbury will have the better teams playing early in the morning. Scores need to be reportedónon-reported scores cost $50. Memorial Day games need to be rescheduled if unable to play. Hull is playing all games away and we are to send bills for referees.

REF. COORD. REPORT: First payments went out. Mary would like to know of any problems on the field.

EVALUATION COMM.: This is just an update on what the committee is discussing, no voting went on.
No separate goalie tryouts.
Numbers on the back and front of pinnies.
Pre-registration at tryouts.
Arrive at 8:30.
Evaluators going over process when kids are warming up.
Try out date change to Sept 28th, final draft.
Friday night calls October 29th notify everyone.

CENTRAL COMMITTEE All sports in town would belong to a central committee like they have FOR ALL SPORTS: in Hanover.
Working on the assumption that there is power in numbers. All volunteers, with one director of soccer, one for baseball, etc., just talked about.
